The Off Season and LAX/Volleyball

Basketball season unfortunately just ended. But that means it is the beginning of the off season, where players play pick-up basketball games and lift weights together. As fun as the regular season was, this off season is going to be more fun for me. The first of many reasons is just playing basketball with a relaxed attitude, unlike playing during the regular season. Second (and third), is that I can focus on Volleyball and Lacrosse now.

Since the season ended, Volleyball and Lacrosse have been the major source for my exercising. For Volleyball, we just had our biggest tournament of the year last weekend in College Station. At Texas A&M, there were 18 club men's teams competing in a double elimination tournament play. Our first match, we beat Tarleton State, from Dallas. Our second game, we upset the #4 seeded team in the tournament, LSU. After losing to Texas A&M (the #1 seed) and Texas State (the #3 seed), we finished 4th.

Now it is time to focus of Lacrosse, the sport I just picked up. Practices, games, and hanging out with the team has been so much fun. This upcoming weekend we are heading to Sherman, TX to face off against Austin College. At the moment we at 4-2 and looking to improve.

Hopefully the end of this year will be as fun as the rest of it was!!!
